A Local Self Defence Group are providing a personal safety seminar for the entire family


A Milton Keynes-based personal safety group are running a personal safety seminar for the entire family on Monday 21st May 


The seminar is unique as everyone in the family can train together and experience some practical, fun and realistic self defence training within the same event.


No experience is needed and all levels of fitness can be accommodated. The Seminar is to be held at St Monica’s school in Neath Hill.


The seminar director Mr Gary Payne said.

SAFETY OF OUR CITY’S WOMEN IS PRIME CONCERN FOR LOCAL TRAINING COMPANY

With 1 in 4 women reportedly suffering some form of domestic violence and shocking statistics showing that knife attacks are committed every 24 minutes, fears around personal safety are elevated. In a bid to educate those most vulnerable on community safety, a local training group, is running an evening seminar for women on Wednesday 23rd May.

The Women’s Personal Safety Seminar is to be run at St Monica’s school in Neath Hill, from 7-9:30pm.  Covering themes such as how to be spacially aware, taking note of our surroundings; how to prevent putting yourself in potentially dangerous situations and how to respond if in trouble.  Lead trainer and personal protection expert Gary will set out to educate with advice, as well as teach a range of simple defence techniques that could be called upon if someone found themselves in a position of danger.

This course has been successfully delivered to over 15,000 women many of whom have unfortunately experienced some form of domestic violence.

Course leader, Gary, said: “We work to help women be aware of their surroundings, and confident in their actions, so they don’t have to live in fear, of what may be around the corner. This seminar is delivered in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere where attendees can learn some very important skills without fear of being uncomfortable”. Monday 23rd April is the date for a unique seminar to be held in Milton Keynes.  This fun, educational and dynamic event sets out to provide attendees with a simple and practical understanding of how to get the most out of the world’s most popular kung fu style.
